Maintenance and Facilities Manager

Job Summary
Lead and manage all maintenance personnel in a union environment while developing schedules to support production and executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Oversee repair of buildings, grounds, and utility systems including HVAC, electrical, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Directly supervise technicians, handle hiring and training, and drive continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and TPM. Monitor equipment uptime, analyze downtime trends, and manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor negotiations. Frequently work on production floors within a manufacturing facility, with occasional travel to support customers and suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing facilities, utilities, and building systems
- Proven success implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and maintenance safety requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities
- Experience with budgeting and capital project management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management software
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Management, Business Management, or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM certification
- CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification
- Experience in automotive, metal stamping, or industrial manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of welding, robotics, automated equipment, and industrial controls
