Maintenance and Facilities Assistant

Maintenance and facilities support at Morling College’s Sydney campus on a part-time basis. Responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of external grounds and gardens; performing cleaning tasks such as aircon filter and gutter maintenance; building and equipment maintenance and repair; preparing and resetting rooms for functions and events; and collaborating with the Property and Maintenance Manager to plan projects and organise resources. This role is part-time (15.2 - 30.4 hours per week, 0.4 - 0.8 FTE) with above-award remuneration and various staff benefits. Required are a current driver licence, experience in building/maintenance, a service-oriented mindset, polite and courteous conduct, high-standard workmanship, proactive teamwork, ability to manage multiple tasks, and IT literacy. Demonstrated Christian character and alignment with Morling College’s mission and Staff Code are essential. Desirable attributes include a horticulture trade qualification, gardening experience, Boom lift (Skyjack) licence, experience operating zero-turn mowers, and the ability to self-manage multiple projects.
