Maintenance and Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Lead the plant's maintenance and engineering functions, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. Directly manage a team of maintenance technicians, project engineers, production engineers, and CI engineers, driving execution of maintenance strategies, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, implement reliability analysis, and lead root cause investigations for equipment failures. Plan and coordinate installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment while supporting the capital budget for both sites. Ensure all activities comply with OSHA, FDA, GMP, and ISO standards. Partner with operations, QA/QC, supply chain, and R&D to support production and process validation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in plant maintenance, engineering, or operations in batch manufacturing facilities for personal care, food, or pharmaceutical products
  • Proven leadership experience managing maintenance technicians, project engineers, production engineers, and CI engineers
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in reliability analysis, mechanical integrity, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and CMMS systems
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results to improve equipment reliability and mechanical integrity, develop the most effective technologies for specific processes, and standardize equipment across sites where possible
  • Experience managing capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvement initiatives, including oversight of multiple sites
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Must be based in Englewood, Ohio
