Job Summary
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, perform minor repairs on tools and machinery, and upkeep outdoor spaces including carparks, footpaths, and decking areas. Monitor plant health through nutrient programs, clean the swimming pool to safety standards, and inspect grounds for hazards requiring repairs. Remove rubbish, maintain outdoor signage and lighting, and assist with general maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor. Drive the village bus when required. Approximately 70% of time focuses on grounds care, with 30% dedicated to general maintenance. A valid Australian driver's licence is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, apps)
- Understanding of machinery and tools used in grounds and maintenance work
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and contribute to a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Experience as a grounds person, maintenance assistant, or a similar hands‐on role
- Must complete a Police Check
- Will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of May-November, with supporting documentation prior to joining
- Pre-employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made
