Job Summary
Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs to building, mechanical, and electrical systems, including inspecting kitchen equipment, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and water softeners. Complete painting, minor construction, and general repair work while servicing roof exhausts, ventilation systems, and kitchen filters. Maintain safe building access by clearing entrances, sidewalks, and fire exits of snow and ice, and support grounds maintenance through grass cutting, weeding, and snow removal. Work within established health and safety, infection prevention, and quality standards. Requires a high school diploma, general maintenance experience, and valid work eligibility in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- High school education diploma or equivalent
- experience in general maintenance and repairs
- some experience in working around machinery, building trades and operations
- effective verbal and written English communication skills
- legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province
- successfully pass a tuberculosis screening
