Job Summary
Maintain the entire hotel facility, ensuring upkeep of public spaces, guest rooms, and the building exterior. Perform hands-on repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related equipment, including minor HVAC/PTAC fixes, clearing clogged drains, replacing faucets, and repairing ice machines. Handle electrical tasks such as replacing ballasts, motors, and switches, alongside paint and wallpaper repairs. Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems, manage snow removal, and ensure guest room access security. Prioritize accident prevention by identifying and correcting hazardous conditions for associates and guests. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and work in an accident-free manner.
Required Qualifications
- Pool knowledge
- Ability to complete minor HVAC/PTAC repairs and maintenance
- Plumbing skills including repairs, clearing clogged waste/drain lines, repair/replace sink/shower faucets, Ice machines and other general plumbing issues
- Electrical repairs including replacing ballasts, motors, switches, receptacles
- Paint and wallpaper repairs
- Snow removal (shoveling of walkways and other areas)
- Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information
- Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property
- Working knowledge of fire sprinkler
- Fire Alarm/Life Safety System monitoring and emergency handling
