Job Summary
Maintenance Level 1 performs daily maintenance to turn units, handle daily work orders and monthly preventative maintenance under the supervision of the Property Manager. Requires working knowledge across plumbing, electrical, carpet cleaning/repair, drywall repair, carpentry, glass repair, appliances, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and concrete/tile; conducts timely work orders and preventative maintenance, supervises and trains maintenance assistants, coordinates with vendors and the property manager, ensures room readiness, schedules outside maintenance, and maintains OSHA-compliant shop and areas. Must hold professional certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical, with a minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory role; own tools; able to work within State and Federal guidelines; ability to work nights and weekends with on-call availability; physical ability to perform tasks and manage various maintenance duties.
Required Qualifications
- Professional certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electric
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a maintenance engineer
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Own maintenance tools
- Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
