Job Summary
Maintenance Level 1 performs daily unit turnover, processes work orders, executes monthly preventative maintenance, and collaborates with the Property Manager. Responsibilities include hands-on maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, carpet repair, appliances, HVAC, grounds, concrete/tile; train and supervise maintenance assistants; coordinate with vendors; verify room readiness; schedule exterior and unit maintenance; on-call tenant support; maintain OSHA compliance; manage the maintenance shop and tool retention; ensure adherence to lock out/tag out procedures; and operate with the required tools and safety consciousness.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a maintenance engineer
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Professionally certified in HVAC, plumbing, or electric
- Own maintenance tools
- Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
