Maintenace Engineer (Part Time)

Job Summary
Conduct technical maintenance and preventive services for hotel equipment, building systems, and guest room fixtures. Diagnose mechanical issues, operate heavy machinery, and perform repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and kitchen appliances. Execute routine tasks such as replacing light bulbs, patching vinyl, servicing pool equipment, and maintaining building exteriors including lawn care and snow removal. Complete maintenance work orders, log service requests, and communicate with departments regarding guest room conditions while adhering to Peachtree Hospitality Management Standards. Maintain clean work areas and respond to guest inquiries regarding facility needs.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain regular attendance standards, as required by scheduling
- Have knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures
- Operation of heavy machinery
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them
- Assemble, install, and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
- Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters
- Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms
- Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests
- Attend or all/training/meetings as required by management
