Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant responsible for maintaining facility grounds and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following applicable standards, policies, and procedures. Duties include upkeep of grounds and parking areas, repair/maintenance of machines and equipment, ensuring utilities and services (heating, cooling, electrical, gas, air) are available, adherence to safety and regulatory requirements (OSHA, HIPAA, Safety), following maintenance schedules, cleaning duties (windows, lighting), reporting malfunctions, assisting with supply management, and supporting resident safety and well-being. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write/speak English, ability to lift 25 pounds, willingness to work across areas of the facility, and Covid-19 vaccination; full-time role in Irvine, KY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Maintenance experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language and to follow written and oral instructions
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and must be able to push, pull, move, and or/carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
- Must be Covid-19 Vaccinated
