Job Summary
Maintenance Tech in training, focused on preparing for a future Maintenance Technician role. Trainee will receive instruction in basic troubleshooting, trouble analysis and prevention, and machine maintenance principles; will participate in PM/MMOL and Kaizen activities, utilize CMMS for work orders and spare parts, and perform lubrication and basic electrical testing. After completing training, the member is expected to be promoted to a maintenance technician position on the 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:15 AM). Requires mechanical and electrical background or trade school/mechatronics education; forklift/boom licenses are a preferred qualification. No supervisory responsibilities are described.
Required Qualifications
- A trade school certification involving electrical / mechanical principles or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be able to successfully complete all required job training, including understanding lubricants types and handling per EMS
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents
- Communication and teamwork in a manufacturing setting
Desired Qualifications
- Fork Lift License and/or Boom Lift License.
- Extensive background check may be required.
- Knowledge of database software like CMMS, Solar Soft, Maximo; inventory software; manufacturing software; spreadsheet software liked Excel; and word processing software
