Job Summary
Conduct general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, service calls, and emergency repairs under supervisor direction. Perform building and equipment repairs, including moderate plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, while completing apartment turnovers with minor repairs and touchup painting. Execute apartment inspections, pool maintenance with chemical readings, and instruct residents on thermostat usage. Provide excellent customer service by previewing work orders, arriving prepared with tools, greeting residents by name, and wearing protective booties when requested.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Minimum three to five years previous work experience with electrical, plumbing, painting, and other general maintenance duties in a complex commercial, industrial or healthcare setting
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and schematics
- Basic understanding of HVAC thermostats
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Communicates effectively
- performs simple arithmetic
- Must have a passion for excellent customer service
- Must be available to work in the weekends
