Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles using advanced tools and software while adhering to manufacturer standards. Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, focusing on electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and emerging EV technologies. Accurately document repair orders, communicate findings with service advisors, and maintain productivity in a flat-rate environment. Follow all safety protocols, especially for high-voltage EV components, and keep workspaces clean and organized. Master technicians with GM experience are required, with EV expertise preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must have General Motors experience
- At least 3+ years of automotive dealership, repair experience, flat rate candidates
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including electrical and drivability concerns
- Experience with routine maintenance and complex repairs (brakes, suspension, engine, electrical systems)
- ASE certifications (A1–A8, L1, or L3) and/or manufacturer certifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening
- Ability to efficiently complete work in a flat-rate environment and meet productivity goals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for diagnostics and repair documentation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Master techs with GM experience - EV experience a plus!
- Experience or training in electric and hybrid vehicle systems is highly preferred
- Master's degree preferred
