Job Summary
As a Mainframe zVM/zVSE System Administrator, you will maintain zVM system procs and JCL, implement software as per change processes, and provide support for system software issues. You will perform disaster recovery drills, manage security audits, and lead moderately complex projects, including client-driven initiatives. The role requires extensive experience in zVM programming, with a focus on ITIL principles in incident, problem, change, and software asset management. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to mentor junior personnel and collaborate effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience with zVM system programming support
- Incident/Problem/Change/Software Asset Management (ITIL)
- Demonstrated experience with Disaster Recovery
- Have SMPE experience
- Have completed packaging of software for upgrade or installs
- Interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, and team members
- Organization skills to balance and prioritize work
- Leadership skills to assist less experienced personnel
- Ability to integrate moderately complex hardware and software systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
