Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2 while analyzing business requirements to provide technical solutions. Perform unit testing, defect fixing, and production support, troubleshooting application issues to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams during development and deployment, preparing technical documentation and adhering to coding standards. Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities. Requires 4–10+ years of experience with VSAM, IMS, and TSO/ISPF, plus familiarity with Endevor or Changeman. Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
- Experience with VSAM, IMS, and TSO/ISPF
- Knowledge of Mainframe utilities such as IDCAMS, SORT, and File Manager
- Experience in batch processing and online transaction processing
- Familiarity with version control and change management tools such as Endevor or Changeman
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- 4–10+ years
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Retail domains
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
