Job Summary
Monitor mainframe and distributed systems from the central operations console to ensure system availability and stability; respond to alerts within defined response times; escalate incidents according to procedures; track system availability, incidents, and operational events; operate and monitor environments using z/OS Console, Omegamon, and other tools; follow runbooks and standard procedures while collaborating with higher-level support teams.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and system monitoring concepts
- Willingness to learn mainframe operations and console tools (z/OS, Omegamon, etc)
- Ability to monitor alerts, follow procedures, and escalate issues appropriately
- Good communication skills and attention to detail in operational environments
- High school diploma or technical degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
