Job Summary
The Main Operating Room RN Circulator at WellStar is a full-time day-shift role (7a-3p) in Georgia. The position requires circulating in the OR as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering patient-centered care with emphasis on evidence-based practice, nursing process, and adherence to professional standards. Responsibilities include planning and delivering care, coordination and documentation, interdisciplinary communication, mentorship/preceptorship for staff, and participation in performance improvement and governance activities. Requires active RN licensure (single-state or compact), BLS certification, and 1-2 years of direct OR circulating experience. Education options include an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). Strong clinical judgment, time management, teamwork, and English proficiency are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Experience circulating in the O.R. Required
- Minimum 1-2 years direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
