Job Summary
Main Kitchen – Assistant Indian Specialty Chef responsible for preparing meals, regulating oven/broiler/grill/roaster temperatures, thawing and portioning, ensuring garnish and presentation standards, maintaining food logs, monitoring food quality, communicating needs during peak periods, informing staff of specials and stock, and assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, coaching and performance counseling; expected to follow safety and security policies, maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, and support team collaboration while adhering to quality expectations. The role involves standing for extended periods and physical tasks up to 25 pounds, with opportunity to contribute to daily specials and customer service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree preferred
- At least 3 years related work experience
- No supervisory experience
