Job Summary
Manage large cash and cash equivalents by balancing Main bank transactions, performing inventory and servicing of Ticket Redemption Units, Cigarette Machines, and Jackpot machines. Execute a wide range of financial transactions, including verifying drops, preparing deposits, issuing initial banks, and processing tournament fees and payouts. Conduct End of Shift Settlements, document discrepancies, and reconcile impress funds while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Provide exceptional guest service by resolving disputes, handling unusual activities, and ensuring compliance with gaming laws and internal policies. Work a 24-hour schedule involving nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide and to perform these operations using units of US currency
- Ability to work in a fast pace, busy and noisy environment
- Excellent guest relation skills and an ability to be attentive and anticipate all guest needs
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
- Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must have the ability to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the Casino for a lengthy period of time – up to eight (8) hours
- Must have the physical ability to work with extreme weather as well as the ability to lift 25 lbs, to squat, stand or bend repeatedly
- Must have the ability to work indoors as well as in extreme temperatures
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required
