Job Summary
Mailroom Clerk processes confidential documents, sorts and logs incoming mail into an internal system, delivers messages and outgoing mail/packages, maintains shipping supplies, and operates light/heavy mailroom equipment. Responsibilities include opening/sorting mail, scanning documents, labeling electronically, meeting production and quality standards daily, and supporting other tasks within the Claims Processing Department. Requires high school diploma or GED, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong teamwork, detail orientation, and the ability to lift 25 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods. This on-site role may require overtime, Saturday work, and holiday coverage; residency in the Greater Sacramento area is preferred, with salaries ranging from $31,200 to $44,500 per year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet)
- Participates productively as a member of a team; eye for detail, self-motivated, time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to follow written policies, procedures, guidelines, and assignments without detailed direction; completes tasks beyond general support level
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. higher than shoulder weight and ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
