Job Summary
This role handles mail processing and sorting in the Mail and Copy Center, including coordination of intercampus and USPS mail, operating high-volume copying/printing equipment, taking job requests over the counter or electronically, and meeting deadlines for copying-related projects. Requires knowledge of USPS rules (preferred), ability to use Outlook/Teams/Microsoft Office, professional discretion, strong communication and customer service, teamwork or independent work capability, and adherence to instructions. Education includes a High School Diploma or GED; California driver’s license with insurance and a clean driving record. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, and potential indoor/outdoor work. The position supports Mills College at Northeastern University with a base pay rate of $28.00/hour and carries benefits as part of Northeastern’s employee package.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-3 years' experience in a mail or print center or comparable administrative role
- California Driver’s license with proof of insurance and safe driving record
- Ability to operate high-volume copier and printing equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively or independently
- Familiarity with USPS rules and regulations preferred
- Proficiency in basic computer programs (Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Office)
