Job Summary
Operate high-speed inserting machines to prepare mailings, read scan marks to match documents from multiple feeders, and handle sensitive and negotiable documents. Set up and program equipment for each job, perform quality checks, maintain logs, enter accounting and production data into computer systems, sort and meter mail using specialized equipment, and prepare presorted and bulk mail according to USPS standards. Generate reports and maintain records for all mail classes while ensuring equipment maintenance through daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience operating and maintaining high-speed mail-processing equipment that includes production folders, optical character recognition scanners, inserters, and ink jet addressing equipment
- Oregon driver license Class C and an acceptable driving record
- Experience in high-volume production environments with tight turnaround times
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Knowledge of postal regulations and commitment to safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to follow and improve mail production procedures
