Job Summary
Delivery-focused Mail Carrier role with CDS route for USPS contractor. Responsibilities include sorting mail in delivery sequence, loading mail and parcels into the delivery vehicle, delivering along a 67.3-mile line of travel, dismounting to deliver parcels as needed, and performing related administrative duties. Requires owning a dependable, USPS-compliant vehicle (with sufficient load space and insurance), NH driver’s license, ability to lift 70 lbs and work in all weather. Hours are Day Shift (7:40am – 2:45pm). Pay is $25.25/hour plus vehicle reimbursement; benefits described as cash-equivalent under wage determinations. Employment begins ASAP. Must reside in Madison, NH area and provide your own vehicle. Minimum vehicle insurance and ongoing maintenance costs are the responsibility of the applicant.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid New Hampshire driver's license
- Able to lift 70 lbs
- Reside in the Madison, NH area
- Own a dependable vehicle meeting postal regulations
- Vehicle must provide 120 cubic feet of usable load space
- Must provide vehicle with liability insurance ($100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 CSL)
- Vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance costs are applicant's responsibility
- Must pass drug test
- Background history must meet USPS standards
