Job Summary
Review orders prior to procedures to ensure accuracy and avoid delays. Educate and prepare patients for MRI scans while ensuring safety and documenting medical history. Perform MRI procedures based on physician orders, including complex coil operations and contrast media administration via power injector. Complete exams in the hospital information system and maintain all imaging equipment. Rotate on-call shifts for inpatient coverage. Assist with mentoring students and new hires.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree under the completion of a Radiologic Technology program
- Certificate under the completion of MRI technology program
- Minimum one (1) year MRI experience
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible (if eligible must obtain MR certification within 24 months of hire or transfer date)
- Radiography - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
- Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association
- Medium Physical Demand
