Job Summary
Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat pathologies by preparing and positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, and administering contrast media within scope of practice. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, education, and data entry while ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images to PACS with correct lead markers. Maintain equipment functionality, report malfunctions, and keep the department clean and orderly. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, performing other duties as assigned. Requires BLS HCP and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a MRI or Radiology Technology program
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
