Job Summary
Operate an MRI scanner to obtain diagnostic images by preparing and positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, and administering contrast media within scope. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, education, and data entry while ensuring high-quality image submission to PACS with correct lead markers and history. Maintain equipment functionality, report malfunctions, and keep the department clean and orderly. Work evening shifts Monday through Friday with very rare on-call requirements. Requires completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a MRI or Radiology Technology program
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more)
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients
- Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
- Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
- Rare kneeling and sitting
- State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
- Evening Shift (United States of America)
- Monday-Friday: 14:00-22:30
- On call: Very rarely. We have overnight and weekend technologists that cover services but very rarely we do have one call in or take PTO and if we can't find coverage it will be a call shift
