Job Summary

Perform diagnostic medical imaging by magnetic resonance, including Cardiac MRI and Interoperative MRI, under the direction of the Radiologist. Provide MR safety screening for all patients, visitors, and staff prior to entering the room. Conduct venipuncture per established standards and document contrast administration in the RIS. Operate the Electronic Medical Record and Radiology information systems while maintaining patient confidentiality. Execute quality control procedures, review departmental performance improvement data, and participate in monthly meetings. Deliver service excellence to customers with emotional support and cultural sensitivity. Maintain a clean, clutter-free environment and adhere to strict safety and infection control policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of Radiology program
  • ARRT-R credential
  • ARRMRIT or ARRT-MR credential
  • Ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives and choose the appropriate course of action
  • Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy
  • Knowledge of normal growth & development
  • Ability to assess and interpret age specific data to identify patient needs
  • Ability to assess population specific needs
  • Ability to assess patient for presence of pain
  • Awareness of abuse recognition criteria
  • Ability to input and retrieve information from HIS/Radiology information system

  • Ability to incorporate patients cultural/spiritual beliefs regarding pain into pain management plan
