Job Summary
Perform MR scanning as directed by the radiologist, ensuring proper positioning, coil selection, and adherence to scanning protocols. Complete imaging studies timely, charge them appropriately, and deliver results to the radiologist for interpretation. Identify patients using two identifiers, obtain MR safety questionnaires and clinical histories, and communicate sedation needs or delays. Prepare scan rooms with approved cleaning protocols, administer contrast materials within scope, and implement emergency procedures. Maintain supplies, linen, and sharps; enter and record data accurately; perform quality control tasks; and stay updated on organizational changes. Provide clinical instruction to staff and students, prepare schedules, and coordinate daily workflow.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI
- ARRT registered in MRI
- ARMRIT-American Registry of MRI certification
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program
