Magna Engineered Glass: 3rd Shift Production Team Lead

Job Summary
Lead the assigned manufacturing team to ensure production meets customer expectations in cost, quality, and delivery while maintaining a safe work environment. Correct unsafe conditions, enforce health and safety policies, and conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, MiOSHA, and ISO14001 standards. Manage labor efficiency and staffing by training personnel to meet takt time, administering Training Within Industry, and maintaining team morale. Drive continuous improvement by leading problem-solving processes, documenting issues, and developing standardized work and takt time charting. Communicate performance metrics on safety, quality, cost, and delivery during pre-shift and team meetings, escalating significant variations to the supervisor. Work 7 days per week in 10-12 hour shifts on the production floor, adhering to all environmental, health, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal contacts at all organizational levels, representing the company in a professional manner
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to ensure the successful performance of job duties
- Demonstrated understanding of business operations and the ability to connect work priorities with operational procedures to resolve issues
- Proven leadership and development skills, with experience in guiding and supporting team members toward achieving short-term departmental goals
- Ability to motivate and inspire teams to meet moderate-term objectives and performance standards
- English proficiency required
- Willing and able to work 7 days per week, 10-12 hour shifts, during periods of peak customer demand
- Available to work any shift based on business needs
