Job Summary
Magistrate Court Clerk responsible for specialized administrative and clerical duties supporting Magistrate’s Office operations, including maintaining court records, assisting the public with civil filings, data entry, filing and document processing, balancing accounts, and scheduling court activities. Tasks include handling civil/criminal paperwork (e.g., Rule to Vacate, Summons, Complaints), processing warrants and expungements, preparing jury-related materials, coordinating with Attorneys and other agencies, managing bank statements and reconciliations, setting up trials and hearings, and providing customer service to the public with professional knowledge of legal procedures. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with various agencies (DMV, Sheriff, SCHP) while performing related duties as assigned. This position also involves assisting with social media and IT communications, maintaining records and statistics, and ensuring proper legal procedure knowledge in court operations.
