Job Summary
Teach music appreciation, theory, and instrument instruction to students in grades 6 through 12. Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects combining arts, music, history, and humanities within the IB World School curriculum. Plan and execute lesson plans while utilizing educational resources and technologies to enhance learning. Work with students interested in both performance and theoretical understanding of music.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Humanities, Music, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license to teach at the secondary education level, according to local regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Music, or a related area
- Specific certification
- Previous experience teaching Music, ideally in a school setting
- Experience in planning and executing lesson plans
- Experience in IB curriculum
- Familiarity with educational standards and the curriculum for Music
- Experience using educational resources and technologies to enhance learning
