Job Summary
Teach art as a core subject or elective to students in grades 6 through 12, focusing on developing creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate arts into interdisciplinary projects while keeping pace with current trends in the field. Plan and execute lesson plans aligned with educational standards, utilizing resources and technologies to enhance learning, with IB curriculum experience preferred. This role supports the school's mission to address social-emotional needs and foster globally knowledgeable individuals within an artistic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Humanities, Arts, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license to teach at the secondary education level, according to local regulations
- Previous experience teaching visual arts, ideally in a school setting
- Experience in planning and executing lesson plans
- Familiarity with educational standards and the curriculum for Arts
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Arts, or a related area
- Experience in IB curriculum
- Experience using educational resources and technologies to enhance learning
