Job Summary

Conduct intake interviews and client assessments while supporting case managers in developing and tracking individualized service plans. Coordinate referrals to community partners, maintain accurate confidential client records, and update hard copy files. Assist in planning workshops, events, and resource fairs, then conduct follow-up calls and check-ins with clients. Support data entry for program outcomes and help identify resources for housing, employment, or childcare needs. Provide general administrative support including answering phone calls and handling day-to-day office tasks. Complete volunteer intake and required training for The Methodist Home for Children & Youth. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in case management and nonprofit operations for students pursuing degrees in Psychology, Sociology, or related fields.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Marketing, or a related field
  • Must have a Federal Work-Study Award
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete an Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) and present documentation verifying citizenship or permanent residency
  • Documentation including either a valid US Passport, certificate of US citizenship, alien registration card with photograph OR two of the following documents: a state driver's license, validated student ID card, original social security card, birth certificate
