Job Summary
Machinist responsible for supporting the machine shop operations. Design and draw custom hydraulic parts and tooling using SolidWorks, quote manufacturing costs for new and custom cylinders, manage inventory and order tooling/materials, perform MIG, stick electrode, and braze welding to repair hydraulic cylinders, and coordinate tasks with colleagues while ensuring adherence to policies, safety, and regulatory requirements. Requires a high school diploma with technical training, at least 2 years of related experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks, reading/writing/mathematics, and machining skills. First shift Monday–Friday or weekend shift (5 PM Friday start, 12-hour shifts). Location: East Freedom, PA, United States.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate with some technical training
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions
- SolidWorks experience for designing hydraulic parts and tooling
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics
- Proficient mechanical skills and PC/IT skills including Internet
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less
- Ability to coordinate with other departments and report to supervisor
- Ability to quote costs and manage tooling and materials
