Job Summary
Set up CNC machines by drawing parts in CAD, loading programs, and establishing work holding positions while editing tool feed rates and chip loads. Read refractometers to maintain coolant levels, interpret blueprint specifications, and replace dull tooling before failure. Complete required paperwork, follow housekeeping procedures, and adhere to all quality and safety regulations. Work the weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, earning a $4.00 shift premium with 36 hours paid for 40. On-the-job training is provided for basic 3-axis programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet be able to perform all the duties and responsibilities of Machinist-Level 2
- Minimum: hands-on experience working with a variety of CNC Machines
- Ability to set-up and adjust work holding devises
- General understanding machine types and their applications
- Ability to understand and comprehend industrial math
- Strong knowledge of technical GD&T drawing and reading skills
- Ability to understand quality standards and gauging
- Basic understanding of hard gauging checks on granite table
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds intermittently
- Ability to stand 100% of workday and occasionally bend or twist
- Days: Friday – Sunday
- Times: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Desired Qualifications
- Tape measure and hand tool experience is desired
- Previous experience working in manufacturing is desired
