Job Summary
Operate and maintain milling machines, lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders to fabricate parts and assemble dies and molds for advanced refractories. Review drawings, blueprints, and samples to ensure accurate production, then take precise measurements for cutting or shaping. Select appropriate machine settings, plan task sequences, and check output for quality assurance while performing minor repairs and maintenance. Maintain a safe and clean workstation, interpreting technical documents and adhering to safety protocols. Lift up to 40 pounds and work in an industrial environment with temperature extremes and moderate noise. Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in math
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to interpret and understand technical documents/blueprints
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Valid PA drivers' license and reliable transportation
