Machinist V - Swing Shift - (T5)

Machinist V on swing shift responsible for safely operating a range of machine shop equipment to produce very complex prototype and production parts from steels, stainless steels, aluminum, and plastics. Tasks include planning and performing very complex machine set-ups, machining operations (milling, turning, drilling, threading, reaming, chamfering), and inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators to ensure dimensional conformity. Must interpret blueprints, sketches, and written/verbal instructions, apply advanced trigonomic knowledge for accurate angle calculations, optimize machine capacity to minimize setups, maintain workplace safety and cleanliness, and provide customer-focused collaboration with internal stakeholders. The role may involve leading or guiding other team members and requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment with noisy conditions and use of hand/power tools.
