Job Summary

Independently perform complex precision machining operations using CNC or manual-controlled machine tools to produce aerospace components to exacting tolerances. Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and gun drills to create parts from sketches or drawings, while using hand tools and precision instruments to verify compliance with specifications. Monitor and adjust machine controls to ensure quality, resolve production issues with cell leaders, and maintain a safe environment through TPM, 5S, and process improvement programs. Work shifts Monday through Friday, with 2nd shift premium pay available, while meeting production deadlines and following all safety policies.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • CNC Lathe/Mill‐Turn/Mill operator experience with inspection tool usage
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • One (1) year of experience running and setting up manually controlled machine tools
  • Three (3) years of experience running and setting up manually controlled machine tools
  • One (1) year of experience with multi‐axis CNC machine tools
  • Seven (7) years of experience running and setting up manually controlled machine tools
  • Five (5) years of experience with multi‐axis CNC machine tools
  • Precision measuring tools, gauges, and inspection devices
  • Reading and interpreting part drawings/blueprints, dimensioning, and tolerancing (including GD&T)
  • Shop math and machining calculations
  • Basic understanding and application of GD&T, CNC machine tools, G‐code, and DNC controls
  • Machine preventive and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste‐reduction concepts
  • Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Two‐year technical degree in a related field
