Job Summary
CNC Machinist Trainee responsible for machine setups, G&M Code editing, and program development with CAM to produce close-tolerance parts per printed instructions. Duties include setup/teardown of machine tools, loading fixtures and tooling, collaborating with CAM programming to develop CNC programs, aiding in fixturing design, communicating machine-print issues to supervisors/programming teams, operating specific machine tools to produce parts per routing, loading/unloading parts, maintaining an orderly workspace, and using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges) to ensure quality. Requires ability to read blueprints and edit programs, strong manual dexterity, good communication, attention to detail, and the capability to work in a deadline-driven environment. Education: High School Diploma or GED; post-secondary CNC education preferred; manufacturing experience desirable but not required. Daily work environment may involve physical demands and PPE usage; some shifts may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends.
