Job Summary
Operate milling machines to manufacture precision components from plastics and specialized materials, read and interpret blueprints and specifications, perform machine setup, measurements and inspections to ensure product quality, support prototype and low-volume production, maintain tooling and work areas per safety and quality standards, and collaborate with production and technical teams to meet manufacturing timelines and drive continuous improvement; ideal candidate has machinist certification or equivalent hands-on experience, experience with mills and CNC equipment, and strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Machinist trade certification or equivalent hands-on machining experience
- Experience operating mills and machining precision components
- Comfortable machining plastics and other specialized materials
- Strong blueprint reading, tolerances, and precision measurement tools
- Experience with both manual and CNC equipment is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative production environment
