Job Summary
Fabricate, maintain, repair, and alter metal parts using hand tools and metalworking machines to meet established specifications. Manufacture components from various materials based on supplied drawings, handling raw stock from delivery to completion. Operate lathes and milling machines for saw cutting, milling, turning, drilling, tapping, reaming, slotting, deburring, sanding, and grinding while maintaining tolerances within +- .005. Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock using calipers, micrometers, and square rules to prepare parts for machining. Review plans and diagrams to determine dimensions, tolerances, and required tools, then clean work areas and maintain equipment logs. Work 6am-430pm Monday-Thursday with flexibility for overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work 6am-430pm Monday-Thursday
- Must be flexible – OT and weekend are required as needed
- Must be able to read/write
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
- Must be able to read and correctly interpret drawings
- Keen attention to detail
- Must be able to read measurement instruments such as Calipers, Micrometers, tape measure etc
- Basic math skills to measure specifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years plus of manufacturing experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, twist, and turn for long periods of time in a manufacturing environment
- Must be in good physical condition
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
