Machinist Lead - C

Operate computer and mechanically controlled machines to produce and repair metal parts by analyzing engineering specifications and selecting appropriate tool paths for lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and grinders. Manually set up and adjust equipment, then assemble parts into sub-units or complete units while utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy. Reads blueprints and design sketches to determine precise dimensions and tolerance levels, recommending design revisions based on machinability or fabrication issues. This Safety-Sensitive role requires full proficiency in technical processes and considerable on-the-job experience. Candidates must be willing to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climates, lift up to 45 pounds, and work varying shifts or outside normal business hours as required.
