Job Summary
CNC Lathe Machinist 2 position in Livermore, CA. Set up and run repeat or proven parts with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor. Read blueprints and tooling instructions, perform DNC communications uploads/downloads, inspect and measure parts to maintain statistics, and label/non-conformance handling. Operate CNC lathe machines using G- and M-code programming; ensure quality through accurate inspections and documentation. Utilize shop procedures, certifications, and tooling charts to meet specifications and production goals; contribute to continuous improvement and a safe, team-driven manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three to five years’ work experience
- Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred
- Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code
- Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
- Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines
