Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers and manual shop equipment to manufacture mechanical prototypes and machine components from engineering CAD drawings and sketches. Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specifications, and engineering drawings to produce precision parts while working with various materials including metal, wood, plastics, and composites. Write programs using Mastercam from blueprints to develop numerical code, assign tool paths, and perform setup and operation functions to machine components. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while supporting prototype development and low-volume production runs with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance to start and maintain once approved
- Experienced in operating Hass VF series milling machines
- Experienced in operating Hass TL lathes
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing technology
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam)
- Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments
