Job Summary
Read and interpret blueprints to produce precision parts, molds, and dies. Operate conventional and CNC machines, rework damaged tools, and fabricate repair parts for maintenance. Complete necessary paperwork and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Assist in upgrading machine shop skills for lesser skilled employees and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. Requires certified apprenticeship completion plus three years post-apprenticeship experience or ten years in trade, proficiency in setup and operation of machines, and welding ability. This role supports Oil States' innovation in offshore, subsea, and defense applications.
Required Qualifications
- Certified apprenticeship completion plus 3 years post apprenticeship experience, or ten years experience in trade
- Proficient in setup and operation of conventional and CNC machines
- Welding ability
- CNC experience
- Use of hand-tools common to trade
- Basic knowledge of weights, measures and metric conversions
- Mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, geometry, trigonometry)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to utilize blueprints
- Prolonged standing
- Lifting up to 20 pounds frequently and in excess of 30 pounds occasionally
- Occasional bending, pushing/pulling, and stooping
- US Citizenship
