Job Summary
Perform precision machining operations and CNC programming on CAM systems to create, repair, or alter complex parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies. Plan fixturing and layout, set up, and inspect to tight tolerances (.0001-.0002). Collaborate with Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues and make technical decisions on fixturing, tooling, setup, and inspection methods in the absence of well-defined instructions. Adhere to FAA Safety Sensitive requirements and participate in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 4 years’ experience as a diversified machinist
- CAD/CAM experience is a plus
- Ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Knowledge of G & M Codes
- Be able to hold tight tolerances (.0001-.0002)
- FAA Drug & Alcohol Program enrollment may be required
