Job Summary
Manage process control, in-process inspection, and inventory for assigned machine tools while executing setup, programming, and production. Hit target efficiencies established by the Machine Shop Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager. Read engineering prints, set up and program CNC machines, and perform quality inspections using proper measuring tools. Assist and train other employees as requested by the Supervisor. Move or transfer products with an overhead crane and lift 50 lbs when required. Promote a team environment within the department and cooperate with all departments to resolve job-related issues. Follow all policies and procedures required by Machine Shop employees at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- 5 years related experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience or approved by Manager
- Ability to read an engineering print
- Ability to Set-Up and Program CNC Machine Tools
- Ability to perform advanced mathematical computations
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to use proper measuring tools to perform quality inspections
- Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required
- Eye Exam: Ishihara Color Blindness & FAA Acuity Exam
