Job Summary
Machinist III will perform alteration tasks on civil aviation articles per FAA data, and will develop/duplicate tooling. Responsibilities include prioritizing repairs to meet delivery, applying specialty coatings, maintaining tools, documenting maintenance records, using precision measuring equipment, welding (ARC, MIG, TIG), operating oxygen/acetylene and plasma torches, developing tooling from drawings, managing inventory, inspecting aviation components, and operating manual lathes, mills, cut-off saws, band saws, grinders, sanders, drill presses, and forklifts. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 3 years of related experience in lieu of degree), 4 years’ manual machining experience, 4 years’ welding experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to quality. Also requires successful completion of background check and drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree
- 4 years of manual machinist experience is required
- 4 years of welding experience is required
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with high quality
- Basic computer operating skills
- Background check and drug testing will be required
