Job Summary
Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and hand tools to produce and repair metal parts by analyzing blueprints and determining optimal tool paths. Manually set up and adjust machine equipment, select appropriate cutting tools for metal, plastic, or composite materials, and utilize precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units while adhering to standard operating procedures, AS9100 standards, and safety guidelines. Requires 1-2 years of relevant experience, technical training, and the ability to lift 45 pounds with close supervision. This role supports General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems' manufacturing needs for warfighters.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree
- 1-2 years' experience
- Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
- May be requested to work a different shift
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
- This position is Safety-Sensitive
