Machinist I, 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Job Summary
Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or complete units using operating mechanical equipment and precision hand measuring tools. Take measurements of material, select appropriate machines for the process, and perform machining setups and adjustments as required. Conduct inspections of work produced, check SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging, and measurements, and keep records while maintaining quality and safety standards. Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, designs sketches, and geometric dimensions and tolerances for operation, material, and dimensional requirements. This 2nd Shift position operates Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11:30pm. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. The role is onsite at the San Marcos, TX facility.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
- Experience in Interpreting blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, designs sketches and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for operation, material, and dimensional requirements
- 3-4 years of relevant experience working in machining parts
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3pm – 11:30PM
- will train on 1st Shift for up to 180 days
Desired Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing assembly experience
- Experience with using hand and/or power tools
- Experience working with various metals
